AImpronta starts from a simple principle: artificial intelligence can be an extraordinary tool when it supports people, makes work more effective and opens new possibilities. Its value does not come from using AI by default. It comes from understanding when it is genuinely useful, how to use it well and what impact it creates. AImpronta Model v1.0 is the proprietary, versioned engine that converts AI usage scenarios into comparable estimates of energy, water and CO₂e.

AImpronta Model is an estimation model, not data centre telemetry and not a certification. The public methodology explains sources, boundaries and limitations; coefficients and application parameters remain part of the proprietary model.

AImpronta uses the same principle in its own technology: do what is needed, while avoiding unnecessary complexity and unnecessary data collection.
No AI is used to calculate your footprint.
The calculator does not call generative AI models to interpret user text or produce results. Text is interpreted locally in the browser using deterministic code. Only the structured data required for the calculation is sent to the server, where it is processed by AImpronta Model.
Analytics only with consent
Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after consent and is used to measure website usage. We do not use advertising pixels.
No advertising profiling
Prompts are not stored and we do not use advertising cookies. The Analytics preference can be changed at any time.
Lightweight stack
HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP, with no heavy client framework. Fewer dependencies and less unnecessary server work.
The hosting provider may retain ordinary technical access logs under its own policies. The news area periodically retrieves updates from selected feeds and does not use AI to rewrite publisher content.
