1. Project owner

AImpronta is an independent project conceived and developed by Emanuele Del Fio. For website-related enquiries contact info@aimpronta.it.

2. Informational purpose

AImpronta is provided for information, education and awareness. It translates AI activities into estimated energy, water and emissions impacts to help users understand orders of magnitude and key impact drivers.

3. Nature of the estimates

AImpronta Model uses public data, benchmarks, technical literature and declared assumptions. The actual consumption of a single request can vary due to the model, token count, processing duration, hardware, system load, data-center efficiency, processing location and electricity mix, among other factors.

Values must not be interpreted as certified measurements, provider telemetry or data directly measured from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, xAI or other providers’ servers unless a source is explicitly identified as such.

4. Sources and updates

Sources and methodology are described in AImpronta Model, Method and sources. Datasets, benchmarks and literature may be updated, corrected or replaced when stronger evidence becomes available, so results may change over time.

5. No affiliation with AI providers

Names, trademarks and logos of companies and services belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes. AImpronta does not claim affiliation, endorsement or partnership unless explicitly stated.

6. Use of results

Results may be used for information, communication and comparison provided that their estimated nature remains clear. They must not be presented as environmental certifications, audits, official measurements or technical evidence of actual recorded consumption.

7. Liability

AImpronta aims to be accurate and transparent but does not guarantee error-free results or suitability for legal, tax, financial, scientific, regulatory reporting or compliance decisions. Professional verification and appropriate sources are required for such uses.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website structure, original text, graphics, software and AImpronta Model remain subject to applicable rights. Graphics explicitly offered as free downloads may be used under the conditions stated on the relevant page or in accompanying files.

9. Voluntary contributions

Contributions processed through Stripe support the development, maintenance and distribution of AImpronta. They are voluntary, do not purchase better results or privileged access and do not turn estimates into certified services. Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, they are not presented as tax-deductible donations.

10. Donation Wall

Name, message and amount are displayed on the Donation Wall only according to the supporter’s selected preferences. Anonymous contributions may count towards totals without showing identity. Public entries can be removed on request by contacting info@aimpronta.it.

11. External services and availability

The website may rely on third-party services, including hosting, Google Analytics with prior consent, and Stripe for payments. AImpronta may be updated, temporarily suspended or changed for maintenance, security or project development.

12. Privacy

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

These notes may be updated to reflect changes in the project, methodology, services or applicable law. The update date is shown at the top of the page.

14. Applicable law

To the extent permitted, these terms are interpreted under Italian law. Any mandatory protections applicable to users remain unaffected.
